Stuart Whittingham

What is your average day like:
My usual day starts with getting my son ready and taking him to nursery, then I can start my day! The first part of the morning usually consists of checking the markets and responding to client emails. If I don’t already have client meetings, I spend the rest of the morning preparing for them. This could involve anything from updating my clients' cash flow models to analysing fund performance and keeping on top of our investment team’s latest market and portfolio views. This helps ensure I’m as prepared as possible when I meet with clients. The bulk of my meetings tend to take place in the afternoon and cover the full breadth of financial advice, from Protection to Pensions and Inheritance Tax Planning. I usually finish the day by tying up any administrative tasks and replying to emails that have come in throughout the day.
What do you like most about your job?
What I love most about my job is building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with my clients. I really enjoy getting to the heart of what matters most to them and helping them feel confident about their financial future. There’s something incredibly rewarding about guiding people through the financial planning journey, addressing their immediate needs while putting a plan in place for the long term. It’s fulfilling to know that the work I do gives them more time and freedom to focus on the things they enjoy most in life.
