Neil Harden

What is your average day like:
I’m an early riser and usually at my desk by 8:00. I start by clearing any emails that have arrived since I was last online. Mornings are focused on administration: preparing for clients’ annual reviews, researching upcoming cases, drafting reports, and creating illustrations. I meet clients both in person and virtually via Zoom or Teams — whichever they prefer and at times that suit them. After meetings, there’s always follow-up administration, so my day rarely fits a strict 9–5.
What do you like most about your job?
What I enjoy most is the relationships I build with clients. It’s genuinely rewarding to spend time understanding their goals and priorities. I believe everyone should have access to quality financial advice, regardless of their background. My work is guided by three promises: Protecting clients during their working lives if the unexpected happens. Helping them maximise their savings so they have the freedom to do what they want in retirement. Ensuring as much wealth as possible can be passed to loved ones when the time comes. Living by these principles makes the role deeply fulfilling.
How long have you worked in Financial Services
I first started within financial services back in 1997, but moved into providing financial advice in 2003.
